Lexie ("Lexie," "we," "us") is a household assistant service operated by Veritec AI Inc. This policy explains what information we collect when you use getlexie.ai and app.getlexie.ai (together, the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
Account information
When you sign up we collect your name, email address, and authentication details. Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider, Clerk. If you sign in with Google, we receive your basic Google profile (name, email, profile photo).
Household content
Lexie stores the content your household creates in the Service: tasks and chores, calendar events, shopping lists, meal plans, announcements, activity history, reward points, and settings such as your household address and timezone.
Home profile
You may optionally provide details about your home — dwelling type, major systems and appliances (e.g., HVAC brand and age), and vehicles — so the assistant can give more useful help.
Documents
Documents you upload to the vault (warranties, manuals, receipts, insurance papers) are stored securely, and we use AI to extract useful fields such as expiration dates.
Phone numbers and messages
If you provide a phone number or link Telegram, we use them to send you notifications and to let you message the assistant. Messages you exchange with the assistant (in-app, SMS, or Telegram) are stored as conversation history.
SMS consent is never shared. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with or sold to third parties. We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign. All categories of information described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP.
Concierge calls
When you ask Lexie's concierge to call a business on your behalf (for example, to request a repair quote), the call is placed by an automated assistant and may be recorded and transcribed so we can show you the outcome. Call recordings, transcripts, and summaries are stored with your household's data.
Payment information
Paid plans are billed by Stripe. We do not store your card number; we keep your subscription status and plan tier.
Usage information
We collect basic technical information (device, browser, pages viewed, errors) to operate and improve the Service.
2. Google user data
If you connect your Google account, Lexie may request read-only access to your Google Calendar (scope: calendar.readonly) to import your upcoming events into your household calendar.
Lexie's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- We only use Google Calendar data to display and organize your events inside Lexie for you and your household.
- We do not use Google user data for advertising.
- We do not sell Google user data.
- We do not allow humans to read your Google Calendar data except with your explicit consent, when necessary for security or to comply with law, or when the data is aggregated and anonymized.
- We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide the calendar feature, to comply with law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice to you.
- AI/ML note: Google Workspace data (including Calendar data) is not used to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
You can disconnect Google at any time from your account settings or at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
3. How we use information
- Provide and operate the Service — including the AI assistant, which processes your household content to answer questions and propose actions.
- Send notifications you've enabled (digests, reminders, alerts) by push, SMS, or Telegram.
- Place concierge calls you've explicitly confirmed.
- Process subscriptions and payments.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and debug problems.
- Improve the Service. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your household content to train third-party foundation models.
4. AI processing
Lexie's assistant is powered by third-party large-language-model providers. When you interact with the assistant, relevant parts of your household content (for example, your task list when you ask about tasks) are sent to these providers to generate a response. Actions the assistant proposes (creating events, placing calls, adding purchases) are not executed until a household member confirms them.
5. Sharing within your household
Lexie is a shared household product. Content you add is visible to other members of your household according to their role (owner, adult, or child). Household owners and adults can manage members and settings.
6. Cookies
Essential cookies keep you signed in and protect the Service from abuse — set by our authentication provider (Clerk) and its security layer (Cloudflare). These are strictly necessary and do not require consent.
Advertising cookies — we use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure the performance of our ads. These load only after you accept in our cookie banner, and never if you decline. You can change your choice at any time via the Cookie settings link in the footer, or by clearing cookies in your browser. We use no other analytics or tracking cookies.
7. Service providers
We share data with vendors only as needed to run the Service: Clerk (authentication), Vercel (hosting and file storage), Neon (database), Stripe (payments), Telnyx (voice calls and SMS), Telegram (optional messaging), Google (optional calendar import), and AI model providers (assistant responses, document extraction). Each provider processes data under its own contractual and security obligations.
8. Data retention and deletion
We keep your data while your household account is active. You can delete individual content at any time in the app. To delete your account or your household's data entirely, contact us at the address below and we will delete it within 30 days, except where we must retain records for legal or billing reasons.
9. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest by our infrastructure providers. Access to production systems is limited and authenticated. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password and keep your account credentials private.
10. Children
The Service is intended for adults. Child profiles are created and managed by a parent or guardian in their household; children under 13 may not create their own accounts. We collect no more information about child profiles than what a guardian enters.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Contact us and we will honor applicable requests. We do not discriminate for exercising privacy rights.
12. Changes
We may update this policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email. The "Last updated" date above shows the current version.
