These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Lexie, the household assistant service available at getlexie.ai and app.getlexie.ai (the "Service"), operated by Veritec AI Inc. ("Lexie," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. The Service
Lexie helps households organize tasks, calendars, meals, shopping, documents, and home maintenance, with an AI assistant that can answer questions, make suggestions, and — with your confirmation — take actions such as adding items or placing calls to businesses on your behalf.
2. Accounts and households
- You must be at least 18 to create an account and at least 13 to use the Service. Child profiles are created and supervised by an adult in the household.
- A household is a shared space: content you add is visible to other household members according to their roles. Household owners control membership, billing, and settings.
- You are responsible for your account credentials and for the accuracy of information you provide.
3. AI assistant — important limits
- The assistant is powered by machine-learning models and may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information. Verify anything important before relying on it.
- Assistant-proposed actions (events, purchases, calls, plans) execute only after a household member confirms them. You are responsible for what you confirm.
- Lexie is not a professional adviser. It does not provide medical, legal, financial, or emergency services. Do not use Lexie for emergencies — call your local emergency number.
4. Concierge calls and messaging
- When you confirm a concierge call, an automated assistant places a phone call to the business you selected and may record and transcribe it to report the outcome to you. You direct these calls; do not use them to harass, deceive, or spam anyone.
- By providing a phone number or linking Telegram you consent to receive Service messages there. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply. You can disable channels in settings.
SMS program (Lexie)
- Program: Lexie — household updates and assistant replies by text message, sent only to household members who provide their number and opt in (or who text our number first).
- Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply.
- Opt out any time by replying STOP to any message; reply START to re-subscribe. Reply HELP or contact support@veritec.ai for help.
- Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of using the Service; the phone number field is optional.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: break the law; infringe others' rights; upload malicious code; attempt to access other households' data; probe, overload, or disrupt the Service; resell it; or use it to send unsolicited communications. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
6. Your content
You own the content your household adds to Lexie. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service (including AI processing described in the Privacy Policy). We do not sell your content or use it to train third-party foundation models.
7. Subscriptions and billing
- Some features require a paid plan. Prices and plan limits are shown in the app. Billing is processed by Stripe and renews automatically each period until canceled.
- You can cancel anytime in Settings → Billing; access continues through the end of the paid period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
- We may change prices with advance notice; changes take effect at your next renewal.
8. Third-party services
The Service integrates with third parties (Google Calendar, Telegram, Stripe, telephony carriers, and others). Their services are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them. Features that depend on third parties may change or become unavailable.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LEXIE AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF $50 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
11. Indemnity
You will indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your content, your use of the Service in violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to protect the Service, with notice where practical. Sections 6, and 9–13 survive termination.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email, and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
